IT'S SATURDAY...LET'S START THE COUNTDOWN TO A NEW YEAR!!
Good morning!!
Got to thinking about my year....2009..... and decided that it would be in MY best interest to think about the GOOD things everyday that happened to me this year.
So, I'm starting with this one.... my son, Mike, is in love. That is a GOOD thing... hasn't been the greatest for his mother as he's been a constant companion for so many years... but it's a GOOD thing.... she's a lovely girl... and I handpicked her...:)
But I have another in my pocket.... I wrecked my paid for car the day I paid it off...... but that's a GOOD thing....insurance paid, got a 2008 and now have LOW mileage and LOWER payments and a SUNROOF.
I've more, but I'm going to reserve... let's see if YOU can find one and post it every day until January 1.
So, what's new with you?... and what turned around for you in 2009?
Janet
Thanks for starting us out for today. I think the one good thing that happened this year is that my Daughter Elizabeth got engaged...Now I might be on my way to be a grandma in the near future....
She is getting married in Augest of 2011. So Babies after that>>>>???????
Last year was just a blurr in my book, Dealing with thyroid cancer and not working took a toll on me. But things are looking up. I did get hired at the hospital and should be starting shifts soon.
Yesterday was filled with food and family. I didnt eat to much as there was to much temptation so I stayed away from the food and did a lot of talking!!!!! and playing with the kids!!!!!
Carla.
I've said many times.... of everyone I have known in 2009, you have truly been an inspiration.... your constant upbeat attitude dealing with something as traumatic as thyroid cancer makes any troubles I've had seem trivial. Your overcoming it makes me joyously happy!!
Not working bothered you? Who knew???
Janet
This past year has pretty much been a good one for me....still have my part time job with a company that treats me with respect and dignity, that says a whole bunch for them. I'm healthy and have great energy, and even tho' I've gained back 12 lbs, people still tell me I look good....how great is that. My hip revision surgery fixed that problem but ended up with another issue, which hopefully will be fixed with foot surgery next month...
My son's business continues to flourish and he's happy -- that means a lot.
Better save some for later -- had a great day with family yesterday and even tho' it rained all day and was in the low 40's it was a good day. This morning we have a tiny bit of snow on the ground and it's in the 20's with promises of more snow later today -- this is Michigan you know, and it's winter!
An ex-daughter-in-law is coming to visit this afternoon and bringing the two youngest step grandchildren that I haven't seen in 2 or 3 yrs.
Excited for that visit.
Have a good Saturday, stay warm and safe.

Done! Your Ticker:

The most memorable for me was getting on an airplane and flying to Dallas. My irrational fear of flying was put aside with the thought of meeting so many OFFers.
Janet, you threw a grenade in my comfy little box which forced me out

Kisses
Annette
Good morning, ya'll.
Boy, this is a hard one. My Momma passed in June. But the good part - my Sissy and I were able to be with her for her last month. We got to bond and talk and help Mom (and each other) accept what was coming. My Sis and I are closer now than ever.
We had a great Christmas here. Lots of good food at our son and DIL's house. And no leftovers or clean up at MY house. Hooray!
Our youngest grandchild becomes a teenager today!! Our daughter's family is in Cabo for Christmas, so we can't call and sing HB to our granddaughter. I guess she will have to endure that on Monday!
Today is a pajama day. Will certainly NOT be braving the stores. I have nothing to return, and I can resist all those Christmas decorations at 50% off.
We are having another 62 degree day! No snow, no freezing rain. Yippee!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
